ADMISSIONS CRITERIA

Welcome Parents,

My name is Mrs. Tristen Wrublewski, I am the Director of Student Services  for FBCS,  grades 1 through 12. My desire is to provide you information and the forms needed for enrollment .  We hope that you find this helpful and if you have any questions please contact me by calling the school office 985-643-3725 or email me at [email protected].

Applications for new students will be accepted as long as we have space in a class.

Students seeking enrollment at FBCS go through a personal interview process and tour with the school administration.  Interview appointments are made once the application and application fee have been submitted to the office and only if a space is available in the grade they are seeking.

Students are not placed on rolls until all required documents have been submitted and registration fees have been paid, including currently enrolled students.

FBCS requires a clear copy of the student’s birth certificate, immunizations & social security card (must be able to read the number), a copy of the current grades. All 9th – 12th grade students must provide a transcript showing classes taken and credits earned, if any.  We take the recommendation of the current school for pass/fail and we take into consideration LEAP results.

Please download forms from the New Enrollment page.

FBCS is dually accredited with ASCI ( Association of Christian Schools International) and Cognia.   We follow Louisiana Standards for curriculum guides in grades 1-12.  FBCS requires non-CDC-kindergarten students to take and pass proficiency tests for entrance into first grade.

We reserve the right to administer a proficiency test to any student seeking enrollment in grades 2 -12.

Students enrolling in FBCS are enrolled on a probationary status.  If the administrator deems the students attendance, behavior or academics are detrimental to the school’s overall performance and the issues are not being resolved the student will be asked to withdraw from FBCS and no refunds of monies paid will be refunded.

Lunches must be prepaid at the beginning of every month.
(see page 7 in the Student Handbook).

FBCS school hours:

Classes begin at 8:00 am and students are considered tardy if not in class at that time. The bell for dismissal rings at 3:00 pm for 1st – 5th grades, 3:05 pm for 6th – 8th grades and 3:10 pm for 9th – 12th grades. Students can be picked up at their respective times.  Students still on campus at 3:25, that are not involved in an afterschool sponsored activity, will be sent to Extended Care and parents are responsible for charges incurred. Extended Care is $4/hour, billed in increments of 1/4 hour (15 minutes).

FBCS depends on its fundraisers to close the gap between revenue from tuition and fees and what it actually costs to educate each student.
