Welcome Parents,

My name is Mrs. Tristen Wrublewski, I am the Director of Student Services  for FBCS,  grades 1 through 12. My desire is to provide you information and the forms needed for enrollment .  We hope that you find this helpful and if you have any questions please contact me by calling the school office 985-643-3725 or email me at [email protected].

Applications for new students will be accepted as long as we have space in a class.

Students seeking enrollment at FBCS go through a personal interview process and tour with the school adminstration.  Interview appointments are made once the application and application fee have been submitted to the office and only if a space is available in the grade they are seeking..

Students are not placed on rolls until all required documents have been submitted and registration fees have been paid, including currently enrolled students.

Paperwork Requirements for Enrollment

FBCS requires a clear copy of the student’s birth certificate, immunizations & social security card (must be able to read the number), a copy of the current grades. All 9th – 12th grade students must provide a transcript showing classes taken and credits earned, if any.  We take the recommendation of the current school for pass/fail and we take into consideration LEAP results.  Please download forms from the Applications page by clicking the Admissions tab and selecting the correct slide out tab.

FBCS is dually accredited with ASCI ( Association of Christian Schools International) and Cognia.   We follow Louisiana Standards for curriculum guides in grades 1-12.  FBCS requires non-CDC-kindergarten students to take and pass proficiency tests for entrance into first grade.

We reserve the right to administer a proficiency test to any student seeking enrollment in grades 2 -12.

Students enrolling in FBCS are enrolled on a probationary status.  If the administrator deems the students attendance, behavior or academics are detrimental to the school’s overall performance and the issues are not being resolved the student will be asked to withdraw from FBCS and no refunds of monies paid will be refunded.

A. First Baptist Christian School does not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, color, or ethnic origin in the administration of it’s educational admission and other school administered programs.

B. The specific procedure for “Returning” and “New ” student admissions is outlined in the enrollment packet that can be found on the website.

C. A student will not be readmitted if there is an outstanding tuition balance from the previous year.

D. Entrance testing requirements: Administration will review previous school records of all new students, 1-12,  to determine if tests are needed to finalize placement in FBCS.

E. Age requirements: 1st grade students must be 6 years old by October 1st; seniors cannot exceed the age of 19 by October 1st of their senior year.

F. Regarding admission of any student who has been expelled from another St. Tammany Parish system, FBCS would follow the same guidelines as the parish system; however, if the family is a member at First Baptist Church, then the student’s admission would be considered by the school committee.

G. In order for a student to be admitted to FBCS, the student and his/her family must be willing to adopt a code of Christian conduct, grounded in the school’s statement of faith, and abide by those parameters for acceptable behavior.

School Lunch: FBCS policy states the following:

Lunches must be prepaid at the beginning of every month.
(see page 7 in the Student Handbook).

Lunches are $3.25 per day and parents are billed at the end of the month through email.  Money can be added to the account at any time.  Once a student orders lunch, it is charged to the account even if they choose not to eat.

FBCS school hours: Classes begin at 8:00am and students are considered tardy if not in class at that time. The bell for dismissal rings at 3:10pm and students can be picked up at that time.  Students still on campus at 3:25, that are not involved in an afterschool sponsored activity, will be sent to aftercare and parents are responsible for charges incurred.

FBCS depends on its fundraisers to close the gap between revenue from tuition and fees and what it actually costs to educate each student.
