This week, students will be writing an essay on Martin Luther King’s “I Have a Dream Speech.” We made annotations on this speech last week, and this week students will be doing a rhetorical analysis–or analyzing King’s argument process in his speech.
We will be working on this in class consistently, but students will need to print it at home. It will be due, printed, Thursday, 2/4.
On Thursday, we will begin a new adjective unit. We will start by looking at prepositional and verbal phrases functioning as adjectives. A quiz will take place later next week. Use pages 215-217 in the grammar workbook to review this material.
