Parent Letter
Dear Parents,
I must introduce myself as this will be my first year with FBCS. My name is Courtney Clement and I am the new Math (6,7,8), Science (6), History (6), and Bible (8) teacher. I feel so honored and blessed to be hired to teach your child these awesome subjects that I have a real passion for.
About Me:
I am born and raised here in Slidell and graduated from Slidell High School in 2013. I then went on to get my bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Liberty University. So, this means I was studying in two different focuses, one being Education and the other being Religion. While I was finishing my degree, I worked at Open Arms Early Learning Center. When Covid hit the Learning Center it was forced to shut down and one of the families in my class approached me about nannying for them privately. I have taken care of 3 little boys all under the age of 4 for the past two years. So, I am very excited for the change of working with middle school students, although the little ones will always have a special place in my heart. I knew that my time was coming to an end with my nanny family, and I felt the pull from God to start teaching. My church leaders and myself have been praying for God to lead me to the right place and I know FBCS is where I am meant to be. I am very active in my church and volunteer with our youth group every week. I am also a very proud dog mom to a 5 year old husky named Knox. I have been praying for this school year and your child all summer and cannot wait to start this journey with you and your child.
My favorite things include Jesus, Knox, the color sky blue, photography, serving others, being outdoors, and traveling.
My Expectations for my Students are:
- Be Kind to Everyone
- Work Hard
- Follow all school rules and regulations
- Do your best
- Treat others with respect
- Believe in yourself
- Be Honest and Responsible
- Listen and Follow directions
- Be ready to learn
- Have fun
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,
Courtney Clement
