Announcements

Students need to wear their all black clothes to school Thursday, December 10 and bring school clothes to change into.

Tests

Wednesday: Math test 12 (write the correct temperature by reading the thermometer, write the correct time by reading the clock, circle one half of the presents, write the sums and differences, word problems, write the before and after numbers by ones, count how many cents)

Thursday: Social Studies test on geography terms (study guide found under uploads)

Classwork

Monday:

Writing: Page 108. Complete worksheets in Writing: review formation of letters and sentences

Math: Page 116 (count by twos to connect the dots in order from 2 to 50 and color the picture)

Social Studies: Review for test

Science: Page 119 – 120. Introduce students to the planets. Teach them the planets song. Discuss how earth is one of the eight planets and that the planets travel around the sun. Allow students to act this out.

Tuesday:

Writing: Page 109. Complete worksheets in Writing: review formation of letters and sentences

Math: Page 117 (read the clock and write the time, circle the correct amount of money, write the numbers in order from least to greatest, color on half of the object)

Social Studies: Review for test

Science: Page 121 – 122. Introduce the term constellations. Job 9:9. Allow students to make their own stars.

Wednesday:

Writing: Page 110. Complete worksheets in Writing: review formation of letters and sentences

Math: Math test 12 (write the correct temperature by reading the thermometer, write the correct time by reading the clock, circle one half of the presents, write the sums and differences, word problems, write the before and after numbers by ones, count how many cents)

Social Studies: Review for test

Science: Page 123 – 124. Discuss the different things that have happened in space over the years. Ex. Neil Armstrong was the first person to walk on the moon in 1969. Allow students to write a few sentences about what they think a space station would look like and what they would do while they were there.

Thursday:

Writing: Page 111. Complete worksheets in Writing: review formation of letters and sentences

Math: Page 118 (write two addition facts and two subtraction facts, cross the pictures out to find the differences)

Social Studies: Test on geography terms (study guide found under uploads)

Science: Page 125 – 126. Rocket science experiment.

Friday:

Writing: Page 112. Complete worksheets in Writing: review formation of letters and sentences

Math: Page 119 (draw hands on the clock to show the time, circle one half of each group, circle the number that is greatest, underline the number that is least, write the sums and differences)

Social Studies: Review the terms community, rules, and ballots.

Science: Complete chapter 8 review on pages 127 – 128.
