Announcements:

Friday, November 20 – Thanksgiving class party. Students can wear Thanksgiving shirts. Christmas grams due.

Thursday, November 12 – Texas Roadhouse fundraiser begins

Tests:

Monday: Math test 10 (measure the line to find our how many inches, word problems, count by fives, write the sums and differences, read the clock and tell what time it is, write each digit in the correct place (hundreds, tens, and ones place), which month comes after February, which month comes after April) and speed drill 11

Tuesday: Writing test 11

Wednesday: Science chapter 7 test (study guide found under uploads)

Classwork:

Writing: Page 100. Complete worksheets in Writing: review formation of letters and sentences

Math: Math test 10 (measure the line to find our how many inches, word problems, count by fives, write the sums and differences, read the clock and tell what time it is, write each digit in the correct place (hundreds, tens, and ones place), which month comes after February, which month comes after April) and speed drill 11

Social Studies: Review the 5 themes of geography. Location, place, human environment interactions, movement, and regions.

Science: Season and weather experiment. Salt water vs sand water.

Tuesday:

Writing: Writing test 11

Math: pages 109-110. Read the clock and tell the time, circle the digit in the ten’s place, write the addition facts based on the pictures, count from 101 to 112, write the before and after numbers by twos, color the triangles green, write the sums and differences, circle the number that is the greatest.

Social Studies: Discuss the term address. Have each child try to write their own address. Continue practicing this everyday until they can.

Science: Discuss the term meteorologists and talk about what they do. Discuss how they use technology to predict the weather. Ask students to list the different types of weather that the meteorologist predict.

Wednesday:

Writing: Page 101. Complete worksheets in Writing: review formation of letters and sentences

Math: pages 111-112. Count by ones from 103 to 114 and circle the digit in the hundreds’ place, write the before numbers by tens, write the before and after numbers by twos and use the pattern for help, count how many cents, discuss the difference between A.M. and P.M., color the other half of the picture, write addition and subtraction facts.

Social Studies: Discuss Thanksgiving with the class and the history of it. Allow them to share the different things that they are thankful for. Allow the class to draw four different things that they are thankful for in their Thanksgiving journals.

Science: Science chapter 7 test (study guide found under uploads)

Thursday:

Writing: Page 102. Complete worksheets in Writing: review formation of letters and sentences

Math: pages 113-114. Count by fives beginning with 25, color the other half of the picture, read the clock and tell what time it is, write the sums and differences, write the numbers under the correct place value, circle one half of each group, word problems, circle the correct month.

Social Studies: Allow the class to continue drawing in their Thanksgiving journals.

Science: Complete the chapter 7 review and the weather journal

Friday:

Writing: Page 103. Complete worksheets in Writing: review formation of letters and sentences

Math: Review day

Social Studies: Thankful wheel

Science: Balloon experiment. Is there a solid, liquid, or gas in the balloon? Allow students to discuss the differences.
