Monday is a full day of school. Tuesday-Friday are half days.

Friday- Christmas Chapel, then Christmas Party
Each week, I will send home the test folder with the past week’s test graded for you to see and sign the signature form. Please return the test with graded tests in the folder the next day.

Math- worksheet, and continue practicing division and multiplication facts (0-10) using flash cards, IPAD, phone, computer, games, etc.

Bible- memorize Memory Verse Due Thurs, Dec. 15- John 3:17, “God did not send his Son into the world to judge the world guilty, but to save the world through him.”
Reading- read an A.R. book for 15 minutes each night. When they are finished reading it, they can take a test on it at school, new point goal has been set. This nine weeks, the AR grade is just based on reaching their point goal.
Study for upcoming tests:
Science- study Ch 9 vocabulary: erosion, landslide, avalanche, mudslide, volcano, earthquake, fault, tsunami
Math- Chapter 6 Multiplication- use Ch 6 Review workbook pg 177-178 to use to review; multiplying 2 and 3 digit numbers with and without regrouping, multiplying by 10s and multiples of 10, reading a line graph, vocabulary: estimate, factor, product, regrouping
English- Ch 7, review chapter 7 check up in workbook page 83, vocab words- notify and demolish (know the definition, synonym, antonym) analogies, classifying sentences with compound subject nouns or compound verbs, helping verbs, conjunctions, preposition and object of preposition, possessive pronoun adjective, adjective, adverb, natural and inverted word order. Labeling sentences as either F, S, SCS, SCV, CD. new labels: interjections (I) and possessive noun adjective (PNA); homonyms and contractions
Bible- students may use their workbook to study and a study guide sheet in their take home folder
Weekly Focus:
Bible-Christmas: Prophecy, Jesus is born, God is omnipotent, wise men worship, vocab- prophet, prophecies
Reading- No reading test. Reading Comprehension quiz is a short story and questions about it.
Math- Ch 6: multiplication- multiply by 10s and 100s, multiply with and without regrouping, multiply 2-digit and 3-digit numbers, estimating an answer
English- Chapter 7: new classifications: Interjection (I) example: Wow!, and possessive noun adjective (PNA) example: Tommy’s house- Tommy’s PNA; homonyms, contractions
