Each week, I will send home the test folder with the past week’s test graded for you to see and sign the signature form. Please return the test with graded tests in the folder the next day.

Math- worksheet in Homework folder; continue practicing division and multiplication facts (0-10) using flash cards, IPAD, phone, computer, games, etc.

Bible- memorize Memory Verse: Jeremiah 32:27, “I am the Lord. I am the God of every person on the earth. You know that nothing is impossible for me.”
Reading- read an A.R. book for 15 minutes each night. When they are finished reading it, they can take a test on it at school, new point goal has been set. This nine weeks, the AR grade is just based on reaching their point goal.
Study for upcoming tests:
Math Speed Drill- This week, students will have three minutes to solve 20 Division facts, dividing by 4.
English- Chapter 8, use Chapter checkup 40 page 95 in workbook to review for test. vocab- protest, massive, classify sentences with direct objects (DO) and verb transitive (V-t), new pattern- SN V-t DO P2, identifying verb tense- past, present, or future; identifying regular and irregular verbs, listing present tense and past tense helping verbs
Bible- students may use their workbook to study and a study guide sheet in their take home folder
Reading- students use their Reading book to review the story and skill, and use reading workbook to study vocabulary
Weekly Focus:
Bible- Jesus raises Lazarus from the dead; vocab- believe, glorify
Reading- The Gardener, skill-compare and contrast the characters in a story, and study Vocabulary (daisy side of reading workbook pg 56): correspond, efficiently, employed, gravely, nurture, sprouting, survived, vessel
Math- Ch 8: Geometry- angles p213-214; plane figures p215-216; congruent figures p217-218; solid figures p219-220; spatial geometry p221-222
English- Ch 8: finish writing a 3-paragraph persuasive essay pg 238; Ch 8 test; Ch 9 identifying object pronouns, classify sentences with either pattern 1 or 2, mixed tenses in paragraphs
Social Studies- Chapter 1 Communities of Louisiana p1-18
Important vocabulary- citizen, parish, population, suburb (choosing the correct voc. word in a sentence)
