Each week, I will send home the test folder with the past week’s test graded for you to see and sign the signature form. Please return the test with graded tests in the folder the next day.

Math- worksheet in Homework folder; continue practicing division and multiplication facts (0-10) using flash cards, IPAD, phone, computer, games, etc.

Bible- memorize Memory Verse:  Romans 8:18, “We have sufferings now. But the sufferings we have now are nothing compared to the great glory that will be given us.”

Reading- read an A.R. book for 15 minutes each night. When they are finished reading it, they can take a test on it at school, new point goal has been set.  This nine weeks, the AR grade is just based on reaching their point goal.

Study for upcoming tests:

Math Quiz- review long division, and study what we have learned so far in Ch 9 measurement: using a ruler to measure to nearest half inch and measure in centimeters, know measurement equivalents: 12 inches=1 foot, 3 feet= 1 yard, 36 inches= 1 yard, 10 millimeters= 1 centimeter, 100 centimeters= 1 meter, 1,000 meters= 1 kilometer

Bible- students may use their workbook to study and a study guide sheet in their take home folder

Reading- Charlotte’s Web Chapters 4-6, test will consist of comprehension questions (some multiple choice and short answer) and vocabulary (identifying definition and using the word in a sentence): bitterly, frolic, glutton, meekly, gratified, scruples

Weekly Focus:

Bible- Stephen and the early church (Acts 6:5-15, 7:54-60, 8:1-4, Romans8:28); vocab- martyr, persecution

Reading- Charlotte’s Web Ch 4-6

Math- Ch 9: Measurement- length: meters and kilometers pg 253-254, Problem solving:2 steps pg 255-256, weight: customary pg 257-258

English- writing a how-to essay, Ch 10: indirect objects, sentence pattern 3, making nouns plural

Social Studies- Ch 3 Settling Louisiana: Early communities pg 40-43, Early Explorers pg 44-47
