Each week, I will send home the test folder with the past week’s test graded for you to see and sign the signature form. Please return the test with graded tests in the folder the next day.

Homework
Math- worksheet, and continue practicing division and multiplication facts (0-10) using flash cards, IPAD, phone, computer, games, etc.

Bible- memorize Memory Verse- 1 Corinthians 4:2, “A person who is trusted with something must show that he is worthy of that trust.”
Reading- read an A.R. book for 15 minutes each night. When they are finished reading it, they can take a test on it at school, new point goal has been set. This nine weeks, the AR grade is just based on reaching their point goal.
Study for upcoming tests:
Math- Ch 5: Division- use Chapter 5 Review pg 151-152 in take home folder to review, study division facts 0-9, study division strategies- arrays, repeated subtraction, count back on number line, fact families; word problems, vocabulary- dividend, divisor, quotient
Math Speed Drill- This week, students will have three minutes to solve 20 multiplication facts with factors of 7.
Bible- students may use their workbook to study and a study guide sheet in their take home folder
Reading- students use their Reading book to review the story and skill, and use reading workbook to study vocabulary
Weekly Focus:
Bible-Stewardship- parable of talents (Matthew 25:14-30) and parable of minas (Luke 19:15-24), stewardship builds God’s kingdom, honor God with faithfulness, choose faithful stewardship
Reading- Heartland, skill- recognize the images in a narrative poem, and study Vocabulary (daisy side of reading workbook pg 8): fertile, hues, etched, livestock, toil, weathered, define, stockyards, converge, merge, vital, descends, drought
Math- Ch 5: division facts and strategies
English- write essay about favorite animals; Chapter 7: new classifications: Interjection (I) example: Wow!, and possessive noun adjective (PNA) example: Tommy’s house- Tommy’s PNA;
helpful note: page 504 in the textbook (all of the classifications for sentences).
Important vocabulary: notify (pg. 189) and demolish (pg.194)
Science- Chapter 8: Earth’s Surface- rocks and minerals, three types of rocks, rock cycle; vocabulary: mineral, sedimentary rock, igneous rock, metamorphic rock, rock cycle, humus, landform, elevation
