Each week, I will send home the test folder with the past week’s test graded for you to see and sign the signature form. Please return the test with graded tests in the folder the next day.

Bible- memorize Memory Verse- John 3:3, Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth. Unless you are born again, you cannot be in God’s kingdom.”
Reading- read an A.R. book for 15 minutes each night. When they are finished reading it, they can take a test on it at school, new point goal has been set.
Study for upcoming tests:
Math Speed Drill- This week, students will have three minutes to solve 20 multiplication facts with factors of 2, such as 2×1 up to 2×9.
Science- Chapter 5 Motion and Force; study Ch 5 vocabulary and chapter review page 79-80 in workbook, and student’s highlighted parts in the workbook
Bible- students may use their workbook to study and a study guide sheet in their take home folder
Reading- students use their Reading book to review the story and skill, and use reading workbook to study vocabulary
Weekly Focus:
Bible- Born again, Jesus and Nicodemus, spiritual birth, Romans road to salvation, salvation pictures, new creation; Important Vocabulary: salvation- being saved from the punishment of sin and receiving eternal life; and born again- having accepted Jesus as your Savior.
Reading- Lorenzo and Angelina, literature textbook pages 213-230, skill- point of view (the way you see things), and study Vocabulary (reading workbook pg 68): accuse, budge, craggy, eagerly, fatal, fortunately, loyal, thrilling
Math- Ch 4: multiplication strategies (repeated addition, equal groups, and making an array), multiply by 6, multiply by 7, multiply by 8.
Important math vocabulary:
factor-one of the two numbers that are multiplied
product- the result of multiplication (answer)
multiplication- repeated addition of the same number
multiplication sign (x)- the symbol for multiplication
English- Chapter 5: classifying sentences, pronouns, subject pronouns, understood subject pronouns, possessive pronoun, and possessive pronoun adjective; simple sentence, coordinate conjunctions, and compound subject, compound verb; identify fragments, run-ons, and types of sentences, vocabulary- trail, career (page 132, 136 in the textbook). They should have a sheet with all the vocabulary words in their folder. On Friday, students brought home English handouts in folder, which is optional extra practice to do at home.
