WELCOME!
“Help Them Aim High”
Ms. Carmalena Johnson 5th Grade Class
Email: [email protected]
I will choose to aim high through Him who strengthens me!!Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year!! I am very excited about this year and can already feel the Lord’s presence
moving as we prepare for the year.
My name is Carmalena Johnson. I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior at a young age. I know the
Lord orchestrated events in my life to place me here at FBCS where I can work with your children. I am looking
forward to seeing the spiritual and academic growth of your children over the course of this year. I am ready to
experience helping your children “Aim High Through Him Who Strengthens Me.”
I graduated with my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education at Kent State University. Then, I got my Masters in
Educational Leadership at the University of New Orleans. In addition, to graduating from the University of Southern
Mississippi with a Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership. I have taught for thirty-six years, throughout Saint
Tammany Parish. This will be my first-year teaching at FBCS!! The best way to contact me is through email. I check
my email several times throughout the day and try to answer any questions as soon as possible.
The school website is available for parents to use, wwwfbcseagles.com. On this site you will find a link to the following:
Headmaster, Student Handbook, and various other information. Headmaster is the site to use to track your child’s grades
and attendance in class. This site will be updated every Monday. Parents will find the homework and test schedule for
each week on the school website (www.fbcseagls.com). There you may also find other announcements that need to be
shared with parents regarding special activities occurring.
This year students will be using an agenda as a means of parent/teacher communication. Graded test will be sent
home in a folder every Tuesday and will require a parent signature within two days.
Homework: Homework will be assigned nightly and may be checked for accuracy and/or completion.
Questions/Concerns: Any parent needing to contact me may do so by email([email protected])
or through the FBCS school office (985-643-3725). *Great communication is the key to strong relationships.
I am so excited to watch your children aim to higher heights as they grow both academically and spiritually
throughout the year. Your child’s success is very important to me, and with your help to aim higher, our year will
be nothing short of AMAZING!!
Blessings,
Carmalena Johnson
