Announcements

Wednesday, April 19- Chapel, Purple up for military kids! Students may wear a purple shirt.

Thursday- 4-H picture and meeting

Each week, I will send home the test folder with the past week’s test graded for you to see and sign the signature form. Please return the test with graded tests in the folder the next day.

Homework

Math- worksheet in homework folder due Thursday; continue practicing division and multiplication facts (0-10) using flash cards, IPAD, phone, computer, games, etc.

Bible- memorize Memory Verse:  Hebrews 10:36, “You must hold on, so you can do what God wants and receive what he has promised.”

Reading- read an A.R. book for 15 minutes each night. When they are finished reading it, they can take a test on it at school.

Study for upcoming tests:

Math – Speed Drill, students will have 3 minutes to divide by 7

Bible- students may use their workbook to study and a study guide sheet in their take home folder

Reading- Charlotte’s Web Chapters 16-18, test will consist of comprehension questions (some multiple choice and short answer) and vocabulary (identifying definition and using the word in a sentence): tussle, pummeled, lacerated, listless, detected, humble

Social Studies- Ch 4: Struggle in North America, it will be open book which means students may use their book and the summary hand out (that we highlight with important info) during the test, the test will cover the French and Indian war, and American Revolution, making a timeline, vocab- treaty, ancestor, declaration, independence

Weekly Focus:

Bible-Paul’s First 2 Missionary Journeys: Sharing the good news (Acts 14:8-14,19-20, 27-28), Equipping Others (Acts 16:1-15), Persevering (Acts 17:5-12), Giving and living (Acts 18:1-11), vocab- journey, persevere

Reading- Charlotte’s Web Chapters 16-18

Math- Ch 10 Fractions:Whole and Mixed Numbers pg 293-294, Fractions on Number Lines pg 295-296, Problem Solving pg 297-298, Probability pg 299-300, Review pg 301-302; vocabulary: numerator, denominator, equivalent fractions, fraction, mixed number.

English- Ch 11: identify sentences with mixed sentence patterns, identify beginning and ending quotes, quotation rules, vocab- generous, investigate

Social Studies- Ch 4 struggle in North America: making a timeline pg70-71, review
