Each week, I will send home the test folder with the past week’s test graded for you to see and sign the signature form. Please return the test with graded tests in the folder the next day.

Homework
Math- study for test, and finish workbook pages for Chapter 7 pages 183-200 by Friday. I’ll be giving a completion grade for these workbook pages. Most of the pages should already be finished because they were given 20-30 minutes each day to work on them.

Bible- memorize Memory Verse: Isaiah 60:1, “Jerusalem, get up and shine. Your light has come. The glory of the Lord shines on you.”
Reading- read an A.R. book for 15 minutes each night. When they are finished reading it, they can take a test on it at school, new point goal has been set. This nine weeks, the AR grade is just based on reaching their point goal.
Study for upcoming tests:
Math – Ch 7 Division: use Ch 7 Review workbook page 203-204 to review (in their take home folder); modeling division problems with blocks, dividing multiples of 10, estimating the quotient, probability, long division up to 4-digit dividends with and without remainders, finding averages, word problems with division and averages
Science- Ch 11 Vocab Quiz study the vocabulary sheet in the take home folder, vocab: asteroid, comet, meteoroid, meteor, meteorite, star, galaxy, constellation
Bible- students may use their workbook to study and a study guide sheet in their take home folder
Reading- students use their Reading book to review the story and skill, and use reading workbook to study vocabulary
Weekly Focus:
Bible- Jesus heals a man who was blind from birth; vocab- spiritual blindness, spiritual sight
Reading- Beatrice’s Goat, skill- drawing conclusions from the details and the facts in a selection, and study Vocabulary (daisy side of reading workbook pg 50): sturdy, coarse, yearned, kindhearted, declared, lashed, produce, disbelief
Math- Ch 7 Long Division Test, Chapter 4-7 Review p205-206, begin Ch 8: Geometry- line segments p209-210, intersecting and parallel lines p211-212
English- Ch 8: writing a 3-paragraph persuasive essay pg 238; and review identifying direct objects, transitive verbs, Pattern 2 (SN V-t DO P2), simple verb tenses, regular and irregular verbs; vocab- protest and massive
Science/ Social Studies- the Science grades for this nine weeks will be counted as part of their social studies grade. We will start Social Studies after we finish Science Ch. 11. on Thursday
