Wednesday- chapel
Friday- 50s Day: students may wear 50s themed attire. Lunch will be hamburgers. Everyone gets a coke float. Cotton Candy and photos for 50 cents each.
Each week, I will send home the test folder with the past week’s test graded for you to see and sign the signature form. Please return the test with graded tests in the folder the next day.

Math- worksheet in Homework folder; continue practicing division and multiplication facts (0-10) using flash cards, IPAD, phone, computer, games, etc.

Bible- memorize Memory Verse: Jeremiah 29:11, “I say this because I know what I have planned for you, says the Lord. I have good plans for you. I don’t plan to hurt you. I plan to give you hope and a good future.”
Reading- read an A.R. book for 15 minutes each night. When they are finished reading it, they can take a test on it at school, new point goal has been set. This nine weeks, the AR grade is just based on reaching their point goal.
Study for upcoming tests:
Social Studies- Ch 1 Communities of Louisiana: use the summary handout to review, review reading a map pg 8-9, reading a pie graph, Important vocabulary- citizen, parish, population, suburb (choosing the correct voc. word in a sentence)
Math Speed Drill- This week, students will have three minutes to solve 20 Division facts, dividing by 5.
Bible- students may use their workbook to study and a study guide sheet in their take home folder
Reading- students use their Reading book to review the story and skill, and use reading workbook to study vocabulary
Weekly Focus:
Bible- The Transfiguration (Luke 9:18-36); vocab- transfiguration, mediator
Reading- Rocks in His Head, skill-purpose of biography, and study Vocabulary (daisy side of reading workbook pg 62): quarries, lift, garnets, mineralogist, admiration, confidence, hesitation, solemnly
Math- Ch 8: Geometry- perimeter p223-224, area p 225-226, transformations p227-228, lines of symmetry p229-230, geometry all around p231-232
English- Ch 9 identifying object pronouns, classify sentences with either pattern 1 or 2, identify mixed tenses in paragraphs, changing verbs to different tenses in paragraphs; vocab- defend, mystery
Social Studies- Chapter 1 Communities of Louisiana p1-18, begin Ch 2: Land and water of Louisiana
